What we collect and why

We collect your name, email address, any telephone number and business details you provide, your message and related correspondence. Website hosting and security systems may record your IP address, browser details, pages requested and access times. Information usually comes directly from you; an introducer may provide contact details and a description of your enquiry.

We use enquiry details to reply, arrange an introductory call and prepare a proposal. For services requested for yourself, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract. For company enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business contacts. We also rely on legitimate interests to operate and protect the website and manage necessary correspondence or legal claims; specific legal duties apply where required.

You choose whether to provide enquiry details, but without enough information we may be unable to reply. An enquiry is not permission for unrelated marketing. Please do not send identity documents, bank statements or detailed tax records through the general contact form.

Who receives your information

Information may be handled by our hosting provider (IONOS), website support and security providers, email providers and professional advisers where necessary. The contact form uses WPForms, with SureMail supporting delivery. We may disclose information to authorities when legally required. We do not sell your enquiry information.

We will discuss any referral to another professional, including a Ukrainian tax professional, before sharing identifiable enquiry details unless the law requires disclosure.

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer applies, a lawful mechanism is required, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum with appropriate safeguards. Contact us for details of relevant destinations or copies of safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries while needed to respond, complete follow-up and decide whether an engagement will proceed. We consider whether discussions or proposals remain active and whether a complaint, claim or legal duty requires retention. Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymised. If you become a client, relevant records follow our client retention arrangements. Technical logs and backups are retained according to their operational and security purpose and provider retention cycles.

Cookies

WordPress uses functional cookies for authorised login sessions and browser checks. You do not need an account to contact us. Technologies requiring consent must remain off until you agree; legal exceptions may apply to certain technologies. Browser settings let you manage cookies, although blocking necessary cookies can affect functionality. External websites have their own privacy policies.

Your rights and security

We use appropriate measures to protect personal information. Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data. Legal exceptions may apply.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation, and to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us using the details above. We may verify your identity; we normally respond within one month and explain any permitted extension.

We update this page when our practices change and draw material changes to your attention where required.
